Hello!
My name is Scott Johnson, and I have been a missionary with and to Main Street Church of Brigham City, a small, non-denominational church in northern Utah, for more than 20 years.
However, I am currently in a "transitional process" and will soon be working overseas in the Czech Republic with Alongside Ministries International. |
A Bit of Background... |
I served as a missionary with the Latin America Mission (now merged with Mesa Global) in Costa Rica (from 1991-1995) and in Miami, Florida (2001-2003). In between these two assignments I obtained a master's degree in communications. |
In 2003 I moved to Utah to work in outreach ministry communication--media production, filmmaking, television and web design and written communication...and a few other things, here and there. I've been involved in the production of several documentary and evangelistic films related to Mormonism and the Latter-day Saint movement. (My "Utah portfolio" can be seen here.) |
In 2018, I moved back to my home town of Richland, Washington to accompany my parents in their failing health, until their passing. As of now, I continue to reside in Richland, currently dividing my time between my ongoing work with Main Street Church (by "telecommuting" to Utah), as well as a local ministry here in Washington, Flourish Mid-Columbia. |
However, I am now actively in preparation to move overseas, probably in May of 2025. I am pursuing a missionary calling to the Czech Republic. If you wish to follow this journey, please see my new website, www.scottinprague.com. You can also sign up for my prayer letter (see form below). Previous editions of my letter are also available below. |
